You can definitely lose weight quickly, and you can do it in a healthy way.
I have been advising people for years now how they can lose weight and get the body they’ve always wanted while also making sure that they develop better eating habits. When you develop better habits as you diet, you are more likely to keep the weight off once you lose it.
I don’t want to just show you how to lose weight quickly, I want to show you how you can keep it off once it is gone.
I’ve seen people on here talk about crash dieting, but the problem is that it isn’t sustainable. This means that even if you lose the weight, you are going to gain it all back and most likely damage your metabolism so when you try to lose that weight again, it will be even more difficult.
The first thing you need to do is eliminate processed foods. Just by doing alone, you will start seeing weight loss almost immediately. If you don’t know which foods you should be eating, you can see a complete list in this Approved Foods List.
Let me give you an example and discuss what I talked about in the video below:
#1 Cut Sugar
If you want to lose weight rapidly, you need to cut added sugar from your diet. This means sugar that comes processed foods and refined carbs. Eliminate all added sugar from your diet.
#2 Focus on Sweet Potatoes and Quinoa
The carbs you eat matter, and if you are eating refined carbs, like the ones found in bread, then you will not only have a difficult time losing weight, but you will gain weight. Instead, replace these carbs with sweet potatoes or quinoa. These carbs should take up 75% – 100% of your daily carb source.
When you stick to these types of carbs, you won’t have to worry about calories. Have you ever tried to overeat quinoa? It is incredibly difficult to do.
#3 Moderate Protein
Protein will help keep you satiated and full longer, and if you are trying to lose weight, you want to stick to about 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. This means if you weigh 200 pounds, you want to consume about 20 grams of protein a day. You can then adjust this amount as you are losing weight.
#4 Consume Healthy Fats
It may seem that eating fats will cause you to gain weight, but eating the right fats will actually help you lose weight. Stick to healthy fats, such as avocados, coconut oil, olives, salmon, etc.
#5 Do HIIT Workouts
In fact, go to your app store and download HIIT MAX. These are workouts that you can do at home with no equipment in 15 – 20 minutes a day. That’s it.
HIIT workouts are great because they are specifically made to target body fat, and when you do these exercises, you actually continue to burn fat for hours after your workout. Plus, they can be done anywhere and with no equipment.
You can follow along to one of these workouts by watching this video. If you don’t have a band, you can do all of these exercises without it, and I only ask that you do your best. We are all at different levels in our journey. Some people will make it through the workout, while others may only make it part of the way through. The idea is to do your best and have it be better than the day before.
#6 Get Plenty of Sleep
When you don’t get enough sleep, it can actually raise your cortisol levels, which causes you to gain weight. It can even mess with your hunger signals.
Be sure you are getting 6-8 hours of sleep every night. Turn off your devices and stop eating about two hours beforehand, and you will find that you can get to sleep quicker and have more quality sleep. Turn your thermostat to 66-68º because studies show that this is the best temperature for quality sleep.
Implement these tips, and you’ll see the weight coming off, AND it will be healthy, and this is something you can do to keep the weight off.
